Aaron Brooks is being treated unfair...
I don\'t see what the big deal is about when he smiles after getting picked off. Brett smiles all the time after getting picked off. Brett pats the defensive lineman\'s helmet after getting picked. The fact is he threw an interception. If he smiles or don\'t what\'s the big deal? He\'s probably smiling because he knew he made a mistake that he shouldn\'t have made. I don\'t see what the big deal is when Aaron smiles.

Aaron Brooks is being treated unfair...
When discussing Brooks there are two things:
1.) Facts. 2.) Opinions. Fact #1-- Threw for 27 TD\'s and only 15 Int\'s. Fact #2--Threw for 3,572 yards. Fact #3-- Was hurt for the last 3-games. Fact #4-- Has only started 2 full years. Fact #5-- Is not unusual for young QB\'s to struggle. Fact #6-- Played with a lot of new starters on offense last year. Opinion: #1. Is not a leader. #2. Not a team player. #3. Lacks team attitude. #4. Should have taken himself out of game. #5. Smiling when something bad happens means he doesn\'t care. Aaron Brooks is a very young Quarterback, who is still trying to find \"his\" game. He was thrown into action unexpectantly his first year and tried too much to prove he was a pocket passer last year. He knows what is expected from him this year and knows he needs to do whatever it takes for the team to win. The defense on the other hand was terrible last year and that\'s a fact also. |

Aaron Brooks is being treated unfair...
Sorry ssmitty. I have to put in my two cents about AB too, regardless of this deadhorse.
Welcome, TonyMax. As you can see, we\'ve discussed this many times before. Great post. I\'m one of the few that agree with you about the way Aaron Brooks handles his mistakes. And the fact that Farve won a superbowl has nothing to do with this. If that were the case, you\'d have to say that since Brett Farve won the superbowl and enjoys waffles, Aaron Brooks can\'t enjoy waffles. It\'s just the way some qb\'s handle their mistakes. Some qb\'s would let it bring them down and lose their head and therefore never get back in the game. I\'m with you on the respect issue. This is a very good quarterback and I am happy to have him start for the Saints. And to have Bouman in reserve is just an added bonus. I can\'t wait to see what Brooks does this season. I\'m confident that he\'ll be in the upper elite of quaterbacks this season. |

Aaron Brooks is being treated unfair...
You HAVE got to be kidding me?!?! Has billy met his limit on posts and now operating under an assumed name.
What the heck would you consider fair for his treatment? Should we all be kneeling and praising him? Give me a freakin break. AB is the starting QB on a freakin NFL football team and you want to coddle the guy like the kids in pee wee. One win from a superbowl? Obviously over-exaggeration is problem for you. There is only one stat that matters to a true leader and winner and it is not an individual stat. Smiling after a mistake is a problem. What if the rest of the team decided to start smiling after their goofs? Was boo smiling after he dropped the touchdown against carolina? would it have been ok if he was smiling? Was AB smiling after boo dropped that pass? Why not? Getting what I am saying? Its interesting to look at the QB\'s you compared AB against. All but garcia were in the playoffs. How do their stats compare against Carolina, minn, cinn, atl, det,???? Finally, don\'t go around blaming the defense for poor performance at QB. You can blame the coaches or AB and that is as far as that goes. The defense was not the problem down the stretch last year ... it was an offense that went into hibernation. AB is being treated just as he should be. He is being held to play better than he has played in the past. OK is not good enough in the NFL. |

Ya think? [quote:47dff28414] Finally, don\'t go around blaming the defense for poor performance at QB. You can blame the coaches or AB and that is as far as that goes. [quote:47dff28414] Obviously you need to tell Haslett how good the defense was last year because he got rid of most of them. How do you explain that? Do you have a TV or do you listen to the games on the radio? |

Holy mackerel.....
Anyone got some tissue? Aaron has only himself to blame, be it good or bad press. The sooner he comes to that realization, the better he will become. |
