Re: Pierre Thomas Fan
We need Stecker for Special teams and Thomas has earned a spot. Looks like we wasted a draft pick on Pittman, his blitz pickup sucks and he hsn't shown anything. pittman goes

Re: Pierre Thomas Fan
Here's a thought. Since it's pretty sure that the starters won't play much ,if any) next week against Miami. What if Pierre has a great game? Is he a keeper then? Could you make a spot for him on special teams? What if outplays Pittman? Do you cut Pittman? Something to think about.

Re: Pierre Thomas Fan
I say Stecker goes.
Realistically, how many years does he have left? I say we go with a youth movement, and at least they'll be developed by the time their time comes. And THEN imagine how dangerous 3-4 young talented running backs would be? Stecker may be o.k. NOW, but we need to keep Thomas and maybe Pittman to help them develop. Stecker goes. |

Re: Pierre Thomas Fan
Cut Pittman and take your losses. PT more upside. Cut Stecker too and keep Dudley.

Re: Pierre Thomas Fan
It might be a situation where you cut someone at a position with a lot of deapth that might still clear waivers (Jamal Jones) but whose loss doesn't hurt the team that much. That would make room for both Pittman and Thomas. Then you could trade Pittman early in the season to get some value for the 4th rounder.
Disclaimer: when it comes to FO dealings, salary caps, waiver and all that stuff, I have no idea how things work, so that may not even be an option. |

Even though he has not done too much so far, I don't think Pittman will clear waivers |

Re: Pierre Thomas Fan
Trade Pittman, somebody we just played is looking for running backs. Get What we can for him. I'm not impressed with the fact that he goes down at first contact. Keep Thomas for special teams and backup running back. At least he keeps his legs moving after the first hit.
