Grady To Retire!!!
We need Yoda to clear up the cap situation, but here\'s my guess what will happen if Grady retires:
He forfeits the salaries for 2003+, however the team will take a hit for the signing bonus (don\'t remember what it was). The team can decide if it wants to spread it out over the whole contract length or take the entire hit this season. As the Saints are still under the cap quite substantially this wouldn\'t really a problem. Gator is right, this could easily be our biggest problem. I always said that I hoped to have Grady back and at least back to 80% of what he could do. Don\'t expect him to ever hit 330 this season, even if he comes back. But I can\'t help it, I still want him in a Saints uniform this season. Whatever your problem is, Grady, food is not gonna solve it. Don\'t go for 400! |
