My B&G Bonner of the Week Nominee: Aaron Stecker
The award will go to the player that does the bone head play of the week. nomination are made my fellow posters here at B&G.
My nominee is Aaron Stecker For his play on special team in the second quarter on the kickoff return team. Lance more had one more player to beat, to go all the way. As we all know he did not make it. There 10 yards in front of Moore was Stecker racing him to end zone with know one in front of him. He turned and looked just in time to see the tackle. He knew it right then, must have remember he forgot to do something like, BLOCK. Right then and there he knew was up for the very first Bonner of the Week Award. So please make you nominees. I will post a poll to pick the official winner |

Bonehead of the week for me is Coach Payton.
This game looked disgustingly like the Chicago NFC Championship game. NEWSFLASH: Deuce McAllister is the most consistent thing on this offense. When you stubbornly refuse to utilize him, it's your own frickin fault. LEARN PAYTON, LEARN. Payton, your cute little yardage machine is fragile. Deuce isn't. He's here to help, mkay? UGH, ok I love my Saints so much and my expectations are so high for them, because I really believe they are one of the best teams. I just hate when they waste their potential. I'm through venting, I just wanted to state my case about Payton's refusal to be patient and pound it with Deuce. |

how bout on every play Jason David was scored on, he didnt touch the WR and drifted to the sideline like he was playing cover 2 with the colts again...

Last night looked way worst compared to the Bears game last year.. Brees made mistakes , Deuce and Bush combined had under 100 yards on the ground, I put some blame on the Saints offensive line. Is Sean Payton also to be blame for the loss?, definitely With all that said, the Saints are much better than how they looked last night, I feel that they will bounce back in a big way. It's only week one, the season has barley got started. |
Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

yeah it's a bit harsh, but I really do like Sean Payton, and I love my Saints. I think so highly of them I might critique them pretty harshly sometimes. But yeah, no hate, I just want to call it honestly the way I see it.

I agree Stecker probably missed a block he should have made... but if we`re giving out only 1 bonehead award this week then Stecker will have to wait to achieve this honor when Jason David isn`t on corner letting wide receivers blow by him untouched. I mean hell, he could have at least gave the receiver a good bump within 5 yards and then stayed close enought to interfer if neccessary, a yellow flag beats 6 points.

David for his over all play
Sean for the game plan Stecker for missing the last block on a kick off I was thinking one play that made that player feel like a bone head. David was a complete melt down and to easy. Sean is not the only coach. I put Gibbs there with him I want to add Jon to the list. Third and short second quarter Bush on a miss direction and Jon did not do a chuck block on the DE in front of him and went straight for the ILB. What made it so bad the DE took an inside angle which is perfect for the play called. He just let him run through untouched. Results -3 yards and a punt. |

Seans game plan for me, but the Saints will bounce back no problem.
