Throwing J. Brown under the bus
Let me first say,
I watched the game in a bar without sound. How could Payton call out Brown for a penalty which should have been a no call, Then three plays later on third and goal from the 15 call for a 5 yard pass play? Payton has lost me, I wonder about the team. This loss was not on the personnel. Payton needs to relinquish the play calling. |

Re: Throwing J. Brown under the bus
Agreed, especially when Devery Henderson can't catch a cold. Brown get's called for a total BS call that had NOTHING to do with the play. Hell, Stinchcomb was lined up further back than Brown. Coach pulls him from the lineup and it sends the wrong message.
Bad coaching again. |

Re: Throwing J. Brown under the bus
The reason Brown was called on that play was he was warned 5 plays before about lineing up wrong. So they flagged him. Can't blame the refs on that one. He should know better. I even thought it was a rinky-dink call but if you're warned, hey, you better listen. Lack of attention is killing this team.

Re: Throwing J. Brown under the bus
yes, attention to detail is the killer. it was a call that was well trivial. but he was warned and payton knew he was warned. i would have benched him for a few as well. five plays earlier he was warned. attention to detail.

Hey, if you had sound you would've heard he was warned prior to getting flagged. BS call or not, he shouldn't have been where he was.

Re: Throwing J. Brown under the bus
B/S call
Especially on a TD. I work in baseball and this call equates to an umpire calling a strike on a guy for leaving the batter's box Bush league. And payton should know that. BTW, Why then call a screen pass to the side you just replaced your Pro Bowl OT? Payton I am benching you |
