Re: Saints run defense.....
Well, on the surface, I would say having Hollis Thomas starting is a big help for the run defense. I know I was ready to throw this guy under the bus during the preseason, but I now clearly see how valuable he is. Hollis did not start against the Colts and Joseph Addai basically had a field day. Since then, Hollis has either had significant more playing time, or has been starting.

Just to make it clear... I am not on a downwars spiral or constant life suck mode. Just not letting people get away with putting the blame on one person that doesn't deserve it and totally neglect the real problems.

I'm still positive about this team. Minus a few plays, we could be 2-2. I know alot of us are down on Fred Thomas, but I think he is our 2nd best Man to Man corner. With David out...I think Fred may make a few plays for us this week. I know he looked bad against Steve Smith sunday...but who doesn't. And I agree with you boys about Hollis. He played awesome last week. Remember the Titans (no pun intended) went 0-5 last season, and made a strong run at the playoffs. Our schedule don't look to tough...I'm still holding on to my 10-6 prediction. So...Keep up the run D. And Go Reggie Go! |

Re: Saints run defense.....
I have them on DVR to... big deal. We got blown out by 3 teams not just 2. Ever here the expression "Horse Shoes and Handgranades"?
Are we really going to compliment a D who can stop a run but can't put pressure on a QB giving up like 30 points a game??? WAAAA HOOO go defense. |
