David Patten !!!
How about David Patten
I dont know if anyone has said much about him on here but that guy went off last night. He pretty much caught everything that was thrown at him and ran great routes to get open. I think he could possibly be a secret weapon for our squad. |

Re: David Patten !!!
Patten's no secret. Most teams are aware of the danger he can be. He's just had a bad year or two lately.

I love it he finally showed you how good He can be. I still love the signing. The only thing that worries me is we may end up relying on him too much. He is no spring chicken but he did remind of the Patton of old when he played with the pats.

Re: David Patten !!!
I think the situation with Patten is that it takes time for a WR and QB to get comfortable with one another, last night was a product of Brees knowing how to throw to Patten and Patten knowing how to adjust to Brees. Patten is a very good possession WR, I don't count those two years in Washington, he only played in 14 games, with 23 rec. for 242 yards and no TDs. So far with the Saints he has played in 5 games, with 13 rec. for 203 yards and no TDs, he has proved to be reliable and productive and has put those years in Washington behind him. So until opposing defenses loosen up their grip on Colston and as Brees and Patten becomes more comfortable with each other, expect more of the same.

Re: David Patten !!!
I have said before I wanted to see more of him.
I like having a vet balance Colston and moore. When we lost Joe Horn I worried about coleston and wondered of patten could fill the void. Looking forward to Atlanta. Deangelo Hall can only cover one of them. |

Re: David Patten !!!
He did great when they throw it to him. I think they have to go to different people during the game. First it was Reggie, then Eric, then Lance, then Patten. They will be like that all season. They have so many good offensive players, that they start with one player, then go to the next, and the next during each game.
