Veteran LB's for next year?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Why are we still talking about veterans for our defense?? Don't we have enough players who are "long in the tooth".... We could have filled some glaring holes in this year's draft. Please no more second/third tier veteran defenders....

Vilma is 25. He was the 04 Defensive Rookie of the Year. He made the Pro Bowl last year. I'd hardly call that long in the tooth or "second/third tier".

I'm lathered up about Vilma. This is the type of guy we need on the LB corp to help Fuji out.

I'd love to see Vilma as a Saint. Not only is he a very good linebacker but also active in the community. Go for it.
