Same ole Saints! We are famous for . . .

Remember when the Cleveland Browns were a new and WINLESS franchise? Against which team did they get their first win? How many other historical instances are there for the SAINTS being the team that you want to play in order to break your loss streak? Many times, my friends . . . I can recall many times. CHALK ANOTHER HISTORICAL STREAK-BREAKER APPEARANCE BY THE SAINTS! CONGRATS TO THE RAMS FOR GETTING THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON AGAINST . . . . . . . TOM BENSON AND YOUR NEW ORLEANS SAINTS !! PS The more things change . . . the more they stay the same. |

We are just not a good football team. Good football teams just aren't this streaky. We got like 300 yds in the 4th quarter of this game. Well fantastic! How about a little consistency.
My thoughts on the game. Faine sucks Simenoux really sucks David is just freakin awful Our whole secondary blows Mare sucks Our D cannot play from behind. Our O is streakier than the dirty undies. Payton is addicted to the pass. We can't ever get a turnover when we need one. We can't stop any quality QB from passing all over us. Too many drafts of ignoring the CB position and signing suspect DB's keeps biting us in the ass. Injuries to Grant, Young, Usama Young, and Shanle really showed up today. We really miss Duece. That's all I can say for now. |

We also suffered when Jammal Brown left the game. Yeh I know that is offense, but if could have maintained some rhythm on offense then the Rams do not get away.

The bottom line is the defensive injuries showed their ugly head. BTW, the Bucs were 0-26 when they got their first win against the Saints. Keep the faith guys, this is not the end of the world. Still only 1 game behind idle Tampa. After an 0-4 start, would you say that 4-5 is pretty darn good? Well, I would say it's pretty good. OK, I will admit, this was a terrible loss. The Saints are so much better than the Rams. A healthy Marc Bulger makes all the difference in the world. They simply kicked our asses today.

With this bunch, you never know what you're going to get. They remind me of Dan Pastorini. He was either great or terrible. Today was terrible.

remember kenny "the snake" stabler era? That was worse. It all depended on how he beat on the games. Now that the streak is over take a breath and lets get ready for next week.

"We are just not a good football team. "
Well said. I think it's time to take the blinders off, and realize we're a good ol' 8-8 football team (with loads of untapped potential). Walking into the Dome today, I told my friend Chris that I was still not sold on this years team. I told him I want to see us beat the teams we're 'supposed to beat' (i.e. a 0-8 Rams). Obviously, that didn't happen. "Good teams" don't come out and stink it up like we did today. They beat the teams they're 'supposed to'. |

Yes - there are all kinds of ways you can slice how bad we have been in the past - up to
only team older than the 95 expanstion to not win a championship, no saint in the hall of fame etc etc... BUT we did not give up in this one. we got it back to an 8 point game and it came down to an onsides kick in the last sconds. this is a good team. May we buck the curse. I think we all know where that curse statred back before the AFL NFL merger but this 2007 NOLA Saints WILL go to the play offs as long as we beat TB |
