this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Ray"s best years are behind him, I'd look at other options before signing Ray, IMO he's pretty much done, we need to spend the money on our secondary, now if our defense was solid in all positions I'd think about ...

Ray"s best years are behind him, I'd look at other options before signing Ray, IMO he's pretty much done, we need to spend the money on our secondary, now if our defense was solid in all positions I'd think about signing him to a 2 year deal at best.
With this said I think he's a great leader for his defense, he brings out the best in his teammates but it's just that he's drawing near the end of his career. |

First of all, I doubt that Brian Billick was fired because of Ray Lewis' comments. It was probably more to do with the fact that they have underachieved mightily over the last few seasons.
And the run in with the law had nothing to do with Lewis. He was a witness. He didn't leave his car. You might be right, Payton might not want him, but I think he'd be a great addition to the team. |
