Re: Pickin through the trash can...
The title says it all: Picking through the trash.
My brother called me today talking about these guys. I observed to him that the Saints organization isn't yet savvy enough to work with marginal players. It seems to me they haven't learned yet how to integrate (or in fact even identify) good talent and how to utilize it. So my answer is no to all the defensive players. The only defensive players the Saints should be considering are absolute lock studs. Then there will be no question to if they will play, if they will have an impact, or if they can help in overcoming readily apparent lapses in both scheme and coaching. On the offensive side, Green may work as a backup. He has proven he can play in this league when protected and the Saints line has proven they can protect the QB, as evidenced by Brees' league low 15 sacks last year. Pay the guy the minimum and give him a clipboard. Then we can stop talking about Martin's credentials. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
