What others are saying...
Rogers-Cromartie has a very thin build. He will need to bulk up in the NFL because he simply is too weak and too skinny at this point. Average sized receivers will be able to overpower him. He also relies on his athleticism too much, and may need time to adjust to the step up in competition. Dominique Rogers-Cromartie - FootballsFuture.com NFL Draft Profile |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Why is everyone all over this guy? Hes a workout warrior. You gotta ask yourself why was this guy at Tenn. St or wherever he went? Maybe hes a late bloomer I dont know. But I dont put alot of stock in the combine. Its a lil ridiculous. All the guys at the top of board are the same kind of athletes. Coaches put more time into how they look on film, and how can you get an accurate judge on his FOOTBALL playing ability with the level of competition hes playing at. Granted Marques Colstone went to a similar school, but we didn't draft him 10th overall. We need someone who is going to step in right away and give us quality playing time as a rookie. We dont need another redshirt rookie like last year.

The guy came in first in just about every single category at the combine for corners.. He has tremendous speed along with size.. He may of went to a small school but last I checked so did COLSTON.. His cousin was a bit of an unknown who the Chargers took 15th overall and everyone was like WTF?? Yet his cousin only lead the entire NFL in INTS.. The whole small school thing is overrrated.. The man showed his skillz against some of the best competition you can get at the SENIOR BOWL as he was DEFENSIVE MVP.. He has such tremendous upside he is worth it. He is mind blowing away.. and now that we signed Gay.. we don't have to throw him into the fire.. although he could see playing time fast.. He's gonna be the kind of guy you regret not getting if you miss out on him.. |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
These stats are ABSOLUTELY INSANE..
2008 Combine Cornerbacks: Vertical Jump: 38.5 (1st) Broad Jump: 10'11" (1st) 3-Cone Drill: 6.74 time (1st) 50 Yard Shuttle: 11.06 time (1st) 40 Yard Dash: 4.28 (fastest) 4.33 (average) Add the fact that he is 6'2 with all that ability.. he's got such upside.. I've never been big on drafting corners but this guy is unreal.. |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
If you think taking him at pick 10 is high.. don't be suprised if he goes before that..
also sorry i was wrong the chargers took his cousin at pick 19, not 15 |

Beau,
Glad to see another convert to the DRC "man-crush" gang. Saintfan1976 brought him to the table during the senior bowl week. Yes, he is a player I want on this team. I'm not worried about his size, he'll bulk up. |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
You guys are ignoring the obvious...
Answer me this: How can anybody that is 6'2" 180lbs (beam pole) hold up to the hits he'll receive on a daily basis. The NFL isn't the SWAC. He's a work out warrior, and I predict he doesn't make it through 10 games before he has a season ending injury. In any case, I bet he's always be dinged and unable to start too many games to be effective. |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
After he gets into the NFL's strength and conditioning program, he should easily gain 5 to 10 pounds before the season starts. Champ Bailey weighs 192 and Dre Bly weighs 185. Bailey came into the league at 184. DRC is not going to stay rail thin... he will gain weight and pack on muscle.
