Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Never saw much of him. Sounds decent. Is he good enough to leapfrog Jenkins and Talib?

I dont think any of the CB's are worth taking at 10...and its not like they are going to come in and start for us. Our CB situation is not a good one. You have to wonder what the plans are to improve the back end of the defense.

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
this was someone's mock draft........
10. New Orleans Saints: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, TSU A bit surprised to see Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie go this high? I wouldn't be shocked to see him go to the Patriots at No. 7. Following up on his stellar Senior Bowl, DRC ran an unofficial 4.28 40, notched a 38.5-inch vertical and leaped a broad jump of 10 feet, 11 inches. He looked like a man amongst boys in the drills, earning Deion Sanders' praise. I would be extremely surprised if he wasn't drafted with the first 15 picks. New Orleans' secondary is garbage. The corners can't cover anyone, while free safety Josh Bullocks has been completely awful at times. I previously had Kenny Phillips here, but the Miami free safety has seen his stock slip. DRC, meanwhile, has become a much higher-rated prospect. He can only help a defense ranked 30th versus the pass. WalterFootball.com: 2008 NFL Mock Draft |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
I love WalterFootball.com's mock drafts, they are freakin hilarious. I've seen so many critical comments of our secondary and I love it. Hopefully the Saints are reading that and realize that they need some help.
I agree with you tiggerpolice, I'd love to see us go after Sheppard. |

Re: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Of the the three small school CB at the top of the draft board he is definitly a better option than the other two. Now if this was last years draft class Not one of them would make a splash in the draft. Maybe at best end of round one and the rest would have gone in 2 or three, The class is good BUT This position shows the draft as whole for what it is. Weak in round one. It gets really good as you get into round 2. OT is the postion of strength in the draft not CB.
PS I still like Carson and no one is talking about him this year. He was the #3 guy last year and now nothing. Media hype be careful. |
