If Deuce is smart, he will be retiring on April 15. That means that our #1 priority will be replacing him.

I think Deuce's contract will be restructured by April 15. If we look to the draft, Matt Forte would be the guy I would think they would look at.

I got bashed for mentioning Deuce is not the same Running Back; and now what?!?

Man, he sure would make a great tight end at this stage of his career, if he still wanted to play ball; devastating blocker and he'd be All-World starting eight yard downfield running among those DB's...Sha-Wee!

I guess I may be the only one on this board that still has faith in Deuce. I still believe he can come back and be a great back. I would rather keep Deuce and Reggie in the backfield and use PT as #3 or even put him in the same backfield as Deuce sometimes, maybe spell Reggie too.

I guess I'm too loyal to McAllsiter.

No, you're not the only one. I still have faith in him too. He'll be here next season, right after he restructures.

I've been a keith rivers backer since i joined this forum but I have a very strange feeling that mendenhall is the pick...this is assuming of course that dorsey and ellis are gone...i just think coach payton has a woody for the kid and he gets who he wants...i'll let last years pick of meachem stand as my evidence when everyone felt def was the 1st priority also...i guess we'll see

we will get a better idea what the saints might do on april 15th when deuces roster bonus comes back into play.. if the keep him.. then we probably will go D, if they let him go then there is a good chance that we will get a RB
