Center
If Vilma and Morgan are healthy, we will be set at LB. We added depth at CB, although let's face it, no one feels good about that position.
My concern is at center. Anyone else worried that we are handing the job to Goodwin without a challenge? Are we going to draft someone in 2 or 3? Alleman played some center in college, but he is most likely not ready. I know Faine sucks, but he did start in front of Goodwin for most of the year. |

I think I posted something in another thread that was wrong about Andy. He may very well be the back up for Center and I am ok with that. NO WORRIES at all. |

Re: Center
i would not go as far as extremely well....
i recorded saints/san fran game last year and did notice him lost on a few plays one in particular I felt he had an opportunity to prevent patrick willis from making a play and did nothing (maybe this wasn't his assignment but it looked so obvious to me) i like goodwin but i would like to see us looking at other options as well (i'd kinda like to see what andy alleman can do) |

Re: Center
Im a little out the loop on what has happened or is to happen to Lehr but I think he is certainly a formidable challenge for Goodwin for the position and his versatility to play guard much like Goodwin provides solid depth to the position.

Re: Center
Goodwin will be are center. He played very well when Faine went down. Lehr should be the backuo. My two cents.

Re: Center
I am holding out for Andy myself at either G or C next year. He and Bushrod will hit the field and be active in the rotations this year. They have to be. 2009 is a big year for contracts on the OL. We better have a good handle on what direction we are going in or we are going to dump a lot of cap money there.
