who was the steal in our draft?
looking back in the 5th round, carl nicks gets my nod....
in a lot of mock drafts i looked at, he was going in the first, 2nd, and 3rd rounds.........more 1st and 2nds than 3rds........ as far as issues, getting in trouble at a college party is deep down the list.. maybe, just maybe, this will be one of the many bright spots in our draft. |

Re: who was the steal in our draft?
I think you nailed it ssmitty, Carl Nicks seems like he was a super steal. I keep saying it but Mayock called him the best run blocker in the entire draft. What makes the pick even better is the fact that we need a mauler type run blocking RT IMHO. I have never been a Stinch fan and I never will be. Stinch is a smart player but he's soft. We needed a big nasty like Nicks. Even if he can't play RT at the NFL level he could slide down to guard and be a force. I'm not worried about his character. Anybody who read my posts concerning Shockey and Pacman knows that I don't mind character issues if the player in question can flat out play.
Is it just me or is anybody else really excited about our OL this year? Even though we lost Faine I still think we'll have one of the top 5 lines in the league. |

We really, really need a Center IMO. I think Nesbit may make the move to C, especially if one of these new kids can make a start of his NFL career at G.

Pressley....just a notch below Dorsey and Ellis talent wise...when motivated, he is a force

I have to say Nicks, because he is a road grader. If Pressley can stay healthy & motivated, he will be the steal. He is a beast when healthy!

I think Arrington makes the team. He has a ton of potential; we'll see his motivation soon. Nicks will definitely lead to at least a great battle at backup.
I am on the fence about Pressley. |
