I think Doug Williams was a decent runner too.

But if you mean the real running QB's like Vick and Vince Young, yeah, I'll take a so called pocket passer all day long.

I think Doug Williams was a decent runner too.

Williams wasn't a running QB. Maybe you are thinking of Warren Moon? He wasn't a "running" QB but he took off when needed. There's also Staubach, Tarkenton, Cunningham, Gannon...

I guess is all semantics... someone says "pocket passer" and people think Drew Bledsoe or Byron Leftwich, guys who stand there and literary don't move. Maybe we should have another term for QBs who are able to move efficiently within the pocket.

cunningham never won any titles though.....and warren moon didnt win any that i know of but he was very quick on his feet and had the threat of running although he was more known for his passing anyway

i was just thinking, when i think of running qbs my mind goes to guys like michael vick, steve young, and randall cunningham

i think the situations are different for many of them tho because steve young and randall cunningham ran because they could rather than because they needed to......michael vick had a terrible offensive line in atlanta and had to make plays with his feet
