Re: Jeremy Shockey....
I was happy to get Shockey but I was of the opinion we had overpaid for him. I am pleased to be wrong. We could not have gotten his performance or caliber out of our pick. He was iffy last year due to injury but he has clearly proven that when healthy he is one of the best. His attitude and effort have been 110% and a large part of that may be due to the success we have had. Let's just keep winning and not look back.

Re: Jeremy Shockey....
I liked him as a TE because he's a good blocker as well as receiver.
However, I was very opposed to giving up a 2nd and 5th for a TE with injury problems in the past and a reputation as a malcontent whether warranted or not. Originally, I didn't want to give up more than a 4th for him, and Im totally on record saying that. I AM REALLY GLAD he's working out and fitting in though. Now that he's here, and healthy, I have embraced him. Today, I still think anything more than lets say a 3rd and a 6th rounder was a little much but, Im dealing with it. |

Re: Jeremy Shockey....
It was the character issues that had me worried and his injury history was scary as well. Last year and this year are like night and day, he couldn't catch a break much less a pass last year. If he keeps this up and stays healthy at the end of the year I'll be having a party with crow, crawfish and ice cold beer. Everyone is invited, it'll be a BYOC party...I'll have plenty of cajun seasonings.
