Re: 8-0 for the first time!
Agreed, The fact that they were able to make adjustments, come back from 14 down, not allow a touchdown in the second half, is the mark of a champion. The right adjustments will be made, we get back some of the key players on defense. Geaux Saints, Love them WHO DATS!!
on another note, any news on Greer and what happened to him tonight? |

Re: 8-0 for the first time!
Don't want to get used to "winning ugly!!!!!!???????" Ah how winning will spoil you. I remember when all we wanted was to be competitive! This is the Saints, Let the Falcons and QB Dick Shiner, yes Dick Shiner beat them 56-7, the first team to get beat by Tampa Bay, give Walter Payton he NFL rushing title, letting Joe Montana and SF come back from being down 35-7, had the Cowboys down 28-0 only to get beat, the first team to get "Big Benned" and so on and so on.
Ask Miami, Atlanta and Carolina how it feels to "Lose Pretty". This is the first Saints "TEAM" we have ever seen. A win is a win is a win. |

Re: 8-0 for the first time!
We shouldn't be too proud of an 8-0 record. Last year the Titans started off 7-0 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. We haven't been looking very good the last few games....successful yes, but not very good. The defense has struggled at times, while the turnovers and dropped balls could potentially cost us a game.. I'll take it for what it is..a very ugly win with some luck along the way.

I will take the win, for what it was, U-G-L-Y. The defense looks terrible. They stepped up when they needed it, but missed tackle, after missed tackle, got really old really fast. I don't know what they need to do, but with Clancy, Ellis, and Fujita out, it's time to make a move here. Garrett Hartley is taking up a roster spot, that can be used elsewhere. Especially on the defensive side of the ball!

Re: 8-0 for the first time!
Yes, it's much better to play good, not be lucky and ultimately lose the game. (Again, Miami, Atlanta and Carolina)Then you can sit around and "Coulda, woulda shoulda" all day.
The Saints are 8-0!!!!! 8-0!!!!!! and you have to look for things to complain about?????? Maybe the bubble bursts and maybe it doens't. Either way, enjoy the ride. As Seals and Crofts once said, "We may never pass this way again." |

Once again a very hard fought game. The Saints never gave up. They have a lot of guts and heart.
