Our offense was catered to allow him to be the player he is now... I don't think that would have happened over there.
Well yeah. If they would have put Brees up for trade after the 2003 season, they might have got a sandwich for him. There was no way you could predict that he would have that break out season in 2004.

Had he stayed in San Diego, he'd still be successful. Then you guys might have ended up with Rivers... but you would have had to make a trade.
