walk to the alleged Saints fan, and whisper "Carl Smith" in his/her ear. If he/she doesn't twitch, not a real Saints fan.

Yep! But at least now we have a real DT in Sed Ellis, not a fake one like Sullivan was.

Sullivan was ranked second on our board that year at DT. The Jets, as I recall, beat us to our first choice.

Smith was pretty lousy as an OC, but, if you remember, it was Mora who refused to fire him.

Also, remember, Jim Finks didn't do real well drafting and signing players on the offensive side of the ball (at least, not skill position players). If he had, the Saints may already have had a couple of Lombardi's in the trophy case.

Oh, I remember so very well . That's why hearing the name "Carl Smith" makes me twitch. Heck, I'm twitching as I ttttttttype.
