this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; At what point does a fan quit being someone on the bandwagon and become a "real fan"? Does it take one year, two years, a decade or longer? Is it about being there in the ups and downs? If someone ...

What are the qualifications to be a "real fan"?
At what point does a fan quit being someone on the bandwagon and become a "real fan"? Does it take one year, two years, a decade or longer? Is it about being there in the ups and downs? If someone started rooting for the Saints after Katrina because of the media attention and are still fans, are they still just on the bandwagon? What are the criteria and qualifications to becoming a "real Saints fan"?
BTW, do you think it's hereditary? You know, some other addictions are inherited like alcohol and drug abuse. lol ![]() |

When you can wear your Saints hat and shirt after a 3-13 or 7-9 season, you are a true fan not bandwagoner. But heres to not having anymore of those type seasons.

I know the wagon is getting a little crowded, but I try to remind myself that it's a good thing. Nevertheless, I do sometimes wonder where all these guys and gals were back in the day. Would have been nice to have more people to talk to - felt kinda lonely being a Saints fan back then.

If you know who Johnathon Sullivan was, you're not a bandwagon fan. God typing that name just made me barf a little bit on my keyboard....

Sullivan was ranked second on our board that year at DT. The Jets, as I recall, beat us to our first choice. |
