Re: SAINTS DT Discussion
The Saints need a big run stuffer for sure. Ellis gets alot of love around here and he's clearly the Saints best DT. But, he's along way from being a great player. A true run stuffer beside him would free him up more for sure.

Re: SAINTS DT Discussion
Casey Hampton will be a FA after this season as well, and we all know Pittsburgh never pays its FA's to stay...

Re: SAINTS DT Discussion
True. With that said, he's a extremely important piece to that defense. He's a big reason, no pun intended, that their linebackers are as effective as they are. Look at the type of money Haynesworth went for last year. Hampton and Wilfork might not be as a premiere player as Haynesworth, but it's going to take an arm and a leg to acquire their services. Now unless Bush and Grant aren't on this team next year, I don't believe they're in our financial constraints. Also with the uncertainty of the '11 season, teams are going to be reluctant to dish out massive multiyear deals to big name free agents. I believe their best bet will be staying with their respective teams for guaranteed money over a short period of time. I think we're going to see a larger than usual use of the franchise and transition tag this offseason.
