Colts Receivers better than Ours?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; You have a very strong WR corp, one of the tops in the league, but they are not on the level of the Colts. How many of your guys had 100 receptions this year? How many TD's did your number ...

You have a very strong WR corp, one of the tops in the league, but they are not on the level of the Colts. How many of your guys had 100 receptions this year? How many TD's did your number 4 guy have this past season? Your guys are good, the Colts are just better....numbers don't lie.

And you base this assumption on what exactly? Last time I checked, we are the number one offense in the NFL. Number one in passing. Now how is it that we are number one, but your receivers are better?

Let me go ahead and give your answer, before you do..... Ummm, we haven't played anybody as good as you guys have huh? You guys have played better defenses than we have huh? The Colts are the greatest team to ever step on the football field huh? Payton Manning is the best QB in the known universe, and alternate dimension huh?

I have seen alot of obnoxious fans come in, and out of here, for the past five years, but you sir, you are officially king of them all. Congratulations.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

UGH! I made the mistake of looking around to read any articles because of course, we're not getting much here and I JUST HAD TO read this thread. I am officially convinced this kid is not only delusional about his team, but just flat out in denial that the Colts are yes good, but they ain't all that. My Lord, I hope the Saints punch that team in the mouth! I would love nothing more.

BTW Indy, you ever want to compare teams and their accomplishments, I would love to invite you to a Steelers board. I can guarantee you will gain all the football knowledge you so obviously lack.

no question your Steelers have put together some good seasons. But lets be honost, you last two SB wins were by luck and poor officiating, and lets not even go into what happen to them this season....

Re: Colts Receivers better than Ours?

Leaps and bounds better? Let's try a simple approach:

Colston = Wayne
Henderson = Garcon
Moore = Collie
Meachem = Colts have no match
Shockey = Clark
Pierre Thomas = Addai
Reggie Bush = Colts have no match

And, that is without David Thomas or Mike Bell. Edge: Saints. Brees regularly throws to 6-9 receivers per game. That has a lot to do with "numbers."

By the numbers over the past 4 years Brees is a much better QB than Manning so, by your own logic, the Colts have the inferior QB. I bet you don't like your "numbers" logic now do you?

Oh no, no, no, no. This puts you right up there with fans making excuses. If you know football, which I am seriously questioning that you do, you know that every team has a chance to overcome bad calls. If you can't do that, you don't deserve to win, period. I mean let's be honest, the officials did everything in their power to try to get the Colts to win in 2005, but they just couldn't do it...the better team won, period. Officiating is an excuse for losers, nothing more, nothing less. Your team is good, they will never be in the Steelers category, ownership, champsionships, nothing. You can dream, but it will never happen.

Re: Colts Receivers better than Ours?

Wow where to start. Colston is good, he is not yet on Reggie's level. Shockey is a punk who couldn't even make the Colts, let alone hang with Clark. Henderson has some talent, but he doesn't bring the threat that Garcon does. You do have more weapons, but not better, remember we are talking "Quality" not Quanity". As for comparing Brees to Peyton...please stop drinking the Kool aid or whatever Saint fans drink and come to your senses.

I was speaking of your "suspect win" vs the Seahawks, not us. and your lucky last second TD against the Cards.
