The comment was not to be negative. The fact is that Porter's pick 6 changed the entire game. He did not have one big play. The guy had 4 tackles, 1 pass defended, and held Reggie Wayne to 46 yards receiving. Drew was the MVP of the playoffs no doubt. The offense has been scoring all year, but the defense just held the Colts offense to 17 points and he was a huge reason for that.

ROFLMAO. We just won the Super Bowl and instead of letting it soak in, people are on here complaining about who got MVP?

Re: No disrespect drew, but.....
We were up 24-17 when Porter made that pick. Now that was certainly the dagger in the heart, but Drew was well deserving. Vilma also had a great game on defense. Can't give everyone awards but Devery caught everything throw his way and our running backs did great too.

Re: No disrespect drew, but.....
MVP = Most valuable Player. Not Most valuable Play.
Replace any one (but one) on the team and do we still win? probably. Replace Brees and do we win? Probably not. Replace Sean Payton do we win? Probably not. Arguably may people played and had plays that sculpted the victory. Since it is a toss up in some peoples eyes I say it should have gone to Drew just based on the fact he got screwed out of League MVP. |
