YOU WANT DIESEL; A GUY THAT MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY IS AS READY IN FEBRUARY AS HE IS IN NOVEMBER...

CODY WOULDN'T BE A R1 NOR A R2 PICK IF I'M A GM; HE DOESN'T HAVE THE GREAT BURST A 4-3 TACKLE NEEDS...

PLUS, WE JUST INVESTED A FEW PICKS IN THE VILMA TRADE; VILMA LEFT NYJ BECAUSE THEY SHIFTED TO A 3-4; YOU'RE NOW SAYING WE SHOULD GEAUX TO A 3-4 AS WELL...

I'm just sayin...
why does everything have to be in caps? its obvious you want a response or you wouldnt have made your post so prominent

he didnt stay in shape, IMO, because football was over....for the first time in 8 years he was allowed to take a break. but thats just me guessing

let me let you in on a little secret...im no little guy....nobody in my family is a little guy.....and it has never been easy for me to lose 10 lbs regardless of how hard i work out......now gaining weight for me is much much easier....im just speaking from personal experience but losing weight isnt easy for anyone....and its especially hard for bigger people because they usually arent in shape

football is over after the super bowl in february.....after that i dont care what the players do....after 10 months of football they should get at least a 2 month break.....dont you think? as long as they show up to play when the season starts i dont care what they looked like during the offseason

i know you're not a GM.....fwiw neither am i.....everybody has an opinion....mine just happens to be better than yours lol

also....we invested 1 draft pick in vilma.......and he didnt leave NY because he didnt wanna play in the 3-4.....he left NY because the trade required him to. he was upset about how he was used in the 3-4 defense but despite being our defensive captain......he is only 1 player.....if we need to run a 3-4 then we should run a 3-4.....if we need to run a defense with no defensive linemen.....then do that.....gregg williams knows what we need.....NOT JONATHAN VILMA.....

i really feel like thats why everybody doesnt want us to switch to the 3-4 but 1 player doesnt make a team....especially in football....vilma is crucial to our success.....but he is only 1 player......and he was mostly unhappy because the jets stunk....nobody cares what their role is when you are winning

Don't be one of those handwriting analyst, using a keyboard in the other office that has a jammed Caps Lock key...

That's just it; to be the best you can be; to expect to have millions of dollars invested in you as an athlete (even a DT); you have to stay in shape year round...

Don't let Drew Brees hear you say that...

Canton, you're right; it's not one guy; and the personalities we have on defense, coaches included, are a collection of faster, leaner, attack types; all Cody looks to know to attack is the left side of the McDonalds menu...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

heres the deal. you guys look at cody as overweight

i see him at his playing weight and see his strength

even at 370 at the senior bowl he still had a good game.....IN A 4-3

now i know we ran a 4-3 for the majority of the season but we didnt run it the whole season......everybody is so pumped about drafting a sergio kindle type of player who plays hybrid DE/OLB probably in a 3-4 but nobody wants to admit that having a big guy in the middle would actually help us compliment the speed we have on the field

shanle and fujita are not the fastest guys so im not sure where you got that from....charles grant certainly isnt a speed demon....sedrick ellis and kendrick clancy are quick but they are more of power rushers than speed guys

im not exactly sure where you got the speed remark.

however.....to the haters of terrence cody i say......how are we goin to stop the run without drafting a NT?

Re: 2010 NFL Draft

We came out of training camp/preseason cuts with three (3) defensive tackles...

We added as the season progressed; but we had a tenious defensive line at best which played above themselves, thankfully...

If a great players falls, you take the BPA; but you got to draft/trade to improve the front seven on defense...

i dont know if anyone can imagine us going through the entire draft without addressing defensive tackle

i think our first 2 or 3 picks will all be DT and DE.....im not sure that LB is as huge of a need as the down lineman positions but im sure they will address that in the draft too

i also believe we will address an offensive position somewhere in the draft. maybe TE or WR in rounds 3 or 4
