Lions speak on possible use of Hargrove...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It's a win - win situation for Loomis, We lose Hargrove to Lions we get a Nice pick in the drafts around 3rd or 4th, if not we keep a solid DL.. This is one of those perfect scenarios....

I agree with this. Not saying I want us to lose him, but it wouldn't be all bad. Plus don't we have to lose free agents before we can sign any more since we finished in the top 4 (or one as the case is!)? This would only be the second we've lost, so we could now sign two to contracts, correct?

I believe you are correct. On that we have to lose free agents to sign free agents.I just don't think theres a better d-lineman on the market right now.

Oh okay great, thanks Ice. Well I would like to keep him. He played well for us and seems to be motivated. With KC coming back- it should help

Detroit is also considering ways to sign defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove(notes) of the New Orleans Saints to an offer sheet.

We NEED to kee this guy. Not enough talent on the d-line to give away a high motor guy like Hargrove. Keep him and draft 2 in the defense front 7 in the first 2 rounds.

we hope they don't take hardy, like one said he's a motivated vet, would be and awesome wingman for a rookie that may be trouble early on. this team will be disected in a matter of days if we don't watch our back.

Hargrove is like most players in the NFL...show him the love, errrr, I mean the "MONEY".

Once he receives the "MONEY" then let's see if his motor remains in high gear or does it pause until his next payday..i.e. Grant!

i know this isnt just you, but we all have a problem trying to compare players to other players

hargrove isnt grant....he isnt a starter and he probably wont be a starter.....but he is a talented backup and we tend to overrate him because of the kind of production he put up from the backup role

hargrove has already had his troubles and i believe he is past them....i can see him really working to continue and try to get better
