My Offensive Game Plan
I know this is pretty radical but here's what I'd do...
If the Colts put 7-8 up front to stop the rush, PASS If they back off and play honest, RUN I know thats thinking "out-of-the-box" but it just might work! On passes: If Joe Horn is covered, consider looking for another WR/TE/RB that is open On rushes: If Deuce is stuffed 10 straight times up the middle, maybe try outside to the left, or live dangerously and go right. I do realize that this is probably beyond MartzCarthy's comprehension so I'm hoping Haslett can explain the complexity of it all to him. My mind is now too fatiqued to even think about a defensive strategy. I've peaked! |

My Offensive Game Plan
Here\'s what you do:
Open up with 3 wides and Deuce in the bf. Run a no huddle, hurry up offense to get the Colts off guard. Then, when they start roaming their safeties, run Duece. Then, when the bring the safeties back in the box, play action and look for plays down the middle. Deep outs and skinny posts. There, you can thank me for the winning game plan now. Oh yeah, on D one thing and one thing only. Pressure, pressure, pressure. Anything less and Manning will have a field day. |

My Offensive Game Plan
This game could really be easy. You\'re right, call a huddle at the line. If they show a 8-9 man box, make it a 5 rec. set and have all rec. go to a certain ZONE and find a hole. This of course takes a qb who can not only read a def but also can think quick under pressure. The holes will be there!!

FWtex -- You can\'t be serious !! Call a 5 receiver set at the line?? First of all you have to have 5 receivers on the field. Then you have no choice but to call a 5 receiver set. Why do I bother with you???
Why does Fwtex bother with you Billy ??? Standard pro formation - split back works good for this one . Horn - Stallworth -Conwell Brooks audibles - to no back formation . Backs approach the line . Backs run cross over outs 5-10 yards Receivers run fly patterns Tight end runs a post pattern 5 receivers from a standard formation , audibilized in about 3 seconds . |

Well obviously , If it is a no back formation it would have to be the fullback Terrelle Smith .

Yeah, great !! That\'s exactly what we need. A fullback that never touches the ball going out for a pass.
Billy , you watch the games ??? You said never ....... Here are Terrelle Smiths receiving stats for your never theory . RECEIVING YEAR TEAM G GS Rec Yds Avg TD 2000 New Orleans Saints 14 9 12 65 5.4 0 2001 New Orleans Saints 14 9 4 30 7.5 2 2002 New Orleans Saints 16 8 9 30 3.3 0 2003 New Orleans Saints 3 2 0 0 --- 0 TOTAL 47 28 25 125 5.0 2 FY! -- You don\'t have to have an empty backfield to send a back out on a pass pattern. From the proposed formation you do .... Otherwise it is 4 genius ..... |

Smith has 25 catches in his career and you think it\'s a good idea to line him up as a receiver?? How many times have you seen Smith lined up as a receiver?? I tell ya -- NONE!! See FWtex said call a 5 receiver set. You want to get ridiculous and talk about lining Smith up as a receiver. Why don\'t we just let Wanye Gandy be an eligable receiver? Makes about as much sense.
