Defensive Line work on Lower Body Strength
ProFootballWeekly.com - Seahawks can't afford to jettison Hill
• Saints DT Remi Ayodele didn't want to give away his team's offseason strategy in a conversation with PFW, but he did say that working on lower-body strength has been part of the focus for defensive linemen. "I'm not going to give you too many of our secrets, but (we are working on) some power stuff on our legs." One of New Orleans' biggest weaknesses last season was defending the run, and building a stronger base could help each interior D-lineman hold his ground vs. the run. I sure hope so. I don't want us to get gashed like we did last year. It will be difficult to get the huge number of takeaways that bailed us out repeatedly again. Not impossible but difficult. |
I'm no one.

Re: Defensive Line work on Lower Body Strength
I think it would benefit the Saints if they were to bring in a Martial Artist to help work on their low stance as well as redirection techniques. I have trained a couple of middle school classes for football players and the O line and D line became weapons.
