We have a history of picking away from the mainstream, but this draft has been a little unsettling. All I can say is that SP and Loomis built this team, and NOBODY, not even that genius Kiper, knows how good/bad this draft will be until 2012. As for rounds 4 and on, I hope we don't even draft a LB. Is a 4th rounder going to be better than Dunbar, Mitchell, Casillas? We went 6 games with these guys when Fujita was hurt, so I guess the FO liked what they saw. |

Remember last year when we traded up to get a punter? And we came out smelling like a rose!
The Saints pretty much have their own draft boards - you can throw out the experts boards' when we're making our picks. That means there should still be some pretty good players available at 6 and 7, that they had ranked much higher. Let's hope their research pays off. |
