I have to agree with exile on this one. I think it's all about leverage from his standpoint right here & I fully expect the Saints to budge just enough with their offer to make him resign here and not there this season.

Money is obviously King with D-Sharp, no doubt (and I can't blame him for that at this stage in his career), but the thought of having two SB rings on his hand has to be sounding real nice whispering in his ear right about now too...

Loomis statements in the past would make me believe that they are going to call Sharpers bluff on this one and Sharper might make a few more dollars but does he really need more money or another chance at the Superbowl, which he won't get with the Jags this year or as long as Garrard is the QB.

The Jags would need to offer substantially more money. If the money is close, then Sharper needs to take into consideration other factors like national exposure, which would mean more endorsement opportunities and therefore more money for him.

I think it's all about leverage from his standpoint right here & I fully expect the Saints to budge just enough with their offer to make him resign here and not there this season.
