I remember when Montana finally retired, I felt great that we wouldn't have to be playing him again, but at the same time, I was happy that we got to play one of the all time greats 2 times a year even if it meant losing. It was special watching him play. When you beat him, the Saints had accomplished something.

Just remember, to be the best, you have to beat the best.
The Saints just wasn't the best. I can accept that.

Thanks for the memories Joe. Glad you're retired.

I didn't buy the picture, but I did take a picture of the monitor it was being displayed on. A year or two later I was telling one of my buddies at work that I played for the 49ers when I was younger, and of course he didn't believe it. I really stopped him for a moment or two when I told him about the time I dressed out for a preseason game and my wife got a picture of me from the TV screen...and then I showed him the picture.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

What a legend. By far, my all time favorite quarterback. As a kid, I loved Joe Montana. Even when he beat us, I still loved him. My parents thought I was nuts, but he had this "cool" vibe that radiated off of him and I loved watching him play.
