sorry, but i'm not going to read the diatribes. i've never been an archie fan after the eli/chargers ordeal...and NO i wasn't loving archie at the beginning of the season. so maybe i'm an anomaly, but i'm not, nor have really ever been a HUGE archie fan. his sons are products of him and one is a crybaby dbag and the other is a non-handshaking whiner...projections? whatever...love him for nostalgic value, but don't say that i ever loved him or am wrong b/c i don't like him.

favre is a toolshed as well...fyi.

The Saints are a football team. Peyton Manning is Archie's son. If I'm Archie Manning, my love and loyalty are with my son 100% of the time.

Re: Archie hasn't been able to enjoy Saints SB win

Leo Durocher coined one of the most famous terms used in every major sport
around the world even to this day — 'Nice guys finish last!'

I'm beginning to wonder just how nice they are...although I can completely understand a father not being able to be giddy about a whole town celebrating a loss that your son was largely responsible for...or at least, like they are saying now, "helped the Saints win by throwing the winning TD"...or something like that...but Peyton leaving the field without shaking Drew's hand can not be labeled as anything but spoiled and classless, IMO. Eli's dissing of the Chargers is starting to smell a little more rotten these days, too.

Does anyone know if they charge kids to attend their academy?

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

Here's the "tuition" page from the Manning Passing Academy website. Oh, yeah. They certainly charge. $550 for an overnight camper, and 400 for a day camper.

agreed, but not enjoy it at all? c'mon...peyton has his and if archie was such a golden spirit as everyone makes him out to be, he would be able to enjoy a sliver of the win...just a sliver.

My thinking is that Archie was the face of this franchise for some time and loves the city. Too bad Peyton didn't handle the loss better, I was truly surprised. Archies son lost and it's hard for him to enjoy our win over his boy.

2010 Manning Passing Academy
Thanks for that info, D. I was just doing a little calculating and...

This year, 1,060 quarterbacks and receivers attended the camp,
if you take that info and multiply it by, let's say an average of $475, that comes out to be somewhere around a half a million...not bad for throwing the ball around for a few days. I wonder where that money goes?
