Maybe we need a new kicker.....
 

The guy has missed several this year and this one cost us the game. The one he kicked last week looked just like the one today but just happened to go through the uprights. I really think we need to start looking for another kicker. Damn I am PO right now!

A lot of things cost us the game. Again, we start off like a nuclear bomb and simmer down to a winter water puddle.

I disagreed with kicking on 1st down. We were moving the ball well. Why put it in the hands of a kicker who's looked bad all year?

I don't understand Payton. Why not run the ball or pass to pick up a first down. But Hartley should have made that 29 freaking yard kick. He needs competition.

That kick in Frisco last week looked just like this one and that scares the hell out of me. The first 2 he missed against the Viqueens I think he missed right also. That should tell the coach something or at least that damn kicker. He better not show his face the rest of the damn day it's time for a time out.

We had our chances to win. Hartley was just a part of it.

I'll state my belief, never let it come down to a kicker. Sooner or later, the mistakes will show.

1st down on the 11 and moving the ball well; should have just kept giving PT the ball...

they were giving up man, why not keep pounding the freakin ball they thru the damn towel in a few plays before.

Look, this came down to 3 things:

1. Brees STOP trying to be Favresque!!!
2. Hartley STOP thinking so damn much and kick the ball!!!
3. Defense ... Do you think we MIGHT STOP someone soon?

I agree Danno. I also have to blame a little on Sean doing the stupid kicker icing time out. I absolutely hate when coaches pull that BS. We are above that sort of crap in my opinion.

Granted, this was a poorly played game. Brees made some bad plays. Henderson dropped two and one big one. Defense couldn't stop Gonzales. After all that the team still forces overtime and the defense and offense do what's needed and sets up a gimme field goal for the win and Hartley chokes. I know it's a team loss, but kickers ,like they say, are a different breed, isolated, loners on the sideline (insert other cliches' here) which is why you don't cut Qb's, recievers, and certain other key players for bad performances , but that doesn't apply to the kicker and I hope he's cut as I type this.

Because after all is said and done this loss is on him.

The thing is, kicking is not a definite thing and we've been relying on kicking the past 3 weeks. Sooner or later, you'll miss something.

1st of all WHY IN THE WORLD do we kick on 1st down on the 11??????? All Sean Payton's fault right there. 2nd I think teams are figuring out how to defend Brees. Rush up the middle.....stopping him from stepping up in the pocket. We should have definitely won this game. Cut Hartley he's beginning to remind me of Olindo Mare

No. The loss is on the team. The Saints couldn't run the ball, Brees threw 2 picks and one of the was really stupid. Ivory still has fumbling problems and the D couldn't stop anything. This loss was a team effort.

We are the Saints... I think Payton forgot that. 1st down you run the ball and make the other team stop us.

Of course it is. And so were the one's against Minnesota... and he missed those too.

Don't put the game in the hands of a kicker unless necessary. It was 1st down and we were driving it easily.
