Take away 1/2 of the drops and we're averaging about 30 points per game and winning every game by an average of two scores. |

Well I certainly didn't mean to sound panicky or paranoid about a possible shoulder problem. It was just something that occured to me and I wanted to get others thoughts on this. Thanks for the input. I do feel better about our season so far when you stand back and look at the big picture. Trent Dilfer said today on the radio that we have been bringing our C game all year yet we are 3-1 and could be 4-0. He said that is the mark of a good team when you are bringing your C game and still winning. When you look at our injury situation and the fact that everyone seems to be capable of beating anyone so far this year, except for Buffalo, I like where we are at and once we get healthy and work out the little things we will be tough to beat.

Oh and just one little thing, Drew's knee was injured earlier in the season and he is wearing a brace on it. So while its a small thing , it might be affecting him a tiny bit with mobility, but geez, like all of you have said, w/o the dropped passes his completion percentage would be off the charts and we'd won by large margins.

Agreed. His percentages are near stellar considering the lack of offensive line improvement or consistency from last year.
I would like to make a point about the blitzes...our linebackers seem to never break tackles (sometimes they don't make tackles) in order to get behind the line...I think this is a fundamental problem with the scheme. We do not have good blitzing linebackers at this point...Joe Vitt. If we were to lose Vilma we would have a terrible...terrible defense. Jenkins isn't playing at a very high level though he's played at a good level, he will improve I believe. This is part of our turnover inconsistency. The red zone offense is just bad right now...but like we all know. We are still winning games without alot of our most consistent statistics. This week's game is a great opportunity to get back on track entirely and carry that momentum into November. I'd much prefer that but I am making no predictions this week and have zero expectations. I will be happy for every first down and every positive play. |
