And he didn't beat out Shanle. Shanle was slated to be the starting Sam and when Casillas went down they moved Shanle back over to Will. He was never not going to start.

It must be his hot girlfriend that everyone is so enamored with...lol.
I probably wouldn't support a subpar NFL kicker, but the fact is that Hartley is not a subpar kicker. Kicks are routinely missed by kickers all across the league. It's all part of the game. Elite kickers are few and far between. They do not grow on trees.

And NFL kickers miss 29 yarders. There isn't a kicker in the league that couldn't have missed that kick. That crap happens. Any number of things in that game had just as much impact on the outcome. To fixate on that one detail is overly paranoid.

Yet it fairly commonly happens.

I'm not sure I'd call 1 out of every 20 attempts common.

I said fairly commonly. Missed kicks happen. Even the best of kickers miss ones they should make. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water because of one missed kick. There's not another kicker on the open market with his accuracy at a distance.

Especially with your number 1 rival in the same division. No excuse for that, he should have been cut.
Well, maybe one day you can apply your brilliance whenever you become general manager of an NFL team. I'm quite sure you'll get there one day. Then you can fire all the kickers you want, because I know you have a pipeline to bevy of Morten Andersens.
