Our new qb for next year

I agree with not drafting a QB this year. I think we have other priorities. Although haveing Flutie would be amazing...

I know I\'m a little late, but Drew Henson? Why don\'t we trade Brooks and Deuce for two #1\'s and trade for the rights to Henson and Chris Wienke. I\'m not happy with Brooks inconsistency either, but trading him for the rights to Drew Henson has to be the dumbest thing I\'ve ever heard.

and for canucksaint, your right about the chargers not being happy with Brees, but I really believe the problem there is the coaching and not Brees\'s ablility, and no Im not saying Brees is better than Brooks or Eli or even Drew Henson. I believe the Chargers decision will be based on wether or not Marty is still coaching in San Diego next year. If we look at the standings right now a lot of the teams with records equal to or worse than ours already have their \"quaterback of the future\". By this I mean Detroit, Atlanta, the New York Jets, Cleveland, Cinncinnati, Houston, Jacksonville, and San Fran. However, there are still quite a few teams who would draft a qb early: Arizona, Chicago, Oakland, and Pittsburgh. I\'m not sure what the Bills would do considering Bledsoes contract. My point is there are plenty of teams that will have early round picks that will be willing to trade.

The unfortunate thing is that we will not have a record poor enough to get a really good QB but, hey, it would not matter. We could trade Brooks for Purdue\'s Ben Jones. Despite the difference in \"skill\" positions, we would not see any drop of performance!!!!!!!!

How many scholarships do you think we could get for Brooks? Think they\'d throw in a tuba player and a couple of cheerleaders?
