I like the move. I also Like the fact that he took $2mil less than what was offered by another team. He's played w/ the Lions & Browns, and hungry to play w/ a winner. I see that translating to more fire, intensity and work ethic., If he remains healthy it will be a good move, IMO.

A 1 year deal is interesting.
I doubt thats what Rogers wanted, but maybe it says something about our organization that he signed a 1-year deal. Maybe he views us as a team that believes that if you produce, we'll work out something better with you for next year. Or... He thinks he'll pocket 4 million, play well, and land a 3-4 year deal with someone next season. The pressure was probably all on him since without a contract before March 3rd, he has no health benefits at all. |
