Deuce was a class guy who did his job and never griped. Not to mention he was one hell of a running back. I always thought he was underrated in the NFL, but on a third and four, game on the line, there's nobody I would have wanted more toting the rock than Deuce. Heart of a champion... glad he got a ring.

He was a great RB for us and all, but my favorite Deuce moment was when he fumbled on a key run (I think it cost us the game) and they showed Deuce on the sidelines.
He was nearly in tears and it was quite obvious he felt like he personally let every teammate and every Saint fan down because of it. It was one of my favorite Deuce photos... Boo Williams was consoling him, hugging him around his head and you could just see that Deuce was totally destroyed. The guy may have had lousy work-out habits, but he had the heart and soul very few players could equal. |

[QUOTE=TheDeuce;308182] but on a third and four, game on the line, there's nobody I would have wanted more toting the rock than Deuce.
Deuce was a great Saint...probably my favorite of all-time. However...even with Deuce, Peyton, Sayers, Brown...name your favorite...with 3rd and 4 and the game on the line...I want Drew chunking it. |

Our office was in very close proximity of the Astrodome and the Oilers training facility. I was driving back from lunch or something and came to a 4-way stop near their facility. I came to a stop and when I looked across, there was Earl. The thing that was funny about it was that he was riding one of those mini-bikes...like the one that Jim Carey was driving in the movie Dumb and Dumber. I suppose you had to be there, but if you can imagine seeing Earl with his giant body...particularly the thighs...sitting on that mini-bike. You couldn't really see the mini-bike hardly at all. I wish I had taken a picture. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

He also liked Skoal...or at least he endorsed it. I'm pretty sure I remember him driving a van around during those days I was talking about that had "Skoal Brother" written on it.
