NONE of us are going anywhere! MOST of these guys are leaving! Either now or later, they are out of here. Reggie's bank account will never see the 11 million that was ageed to in writing, 11 million - that's a lot of nickels. This is a job for these guys. The pain is the same whether east coast or west coast. The other intangibles get factored in, but at the end of the day, most of these guys have 10 years or less to make it happen, and then they are back to being regular Joe's. Hopefully with a pocket full of money.

Harper is probably the one guy who as a free agent this year is really replaceable. Usama took his spot for a couple games early in the season and played really, really well. Not to mention Jenkins and Robinson. Either one could play that spot and be really good.

The safety crop at SS in my opinion isn't strong... so I personally do not agree with you saying Harper is a guy that is really replaceable. He excels in our system and has gone to multiple Pro Bowls. It's not as easy replacing that as you seem to make it out to be. I'd love to have Weddle here... who in my opinion is a better overall safety and can play both spots along with spot nickel duty in some packages. But, he's going to get a massive contract on the open market this offseason. |
