this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Could Meachum, Arrington or Moore make Devery expendable or do you thing he will make the final roster and be in the Black and Gold in 2011?...

I think DH time here is done. Meachum has had plenty of time to develop and should be able to take his spot. If not, it could be Meachums last year with the team. I see us getting a FA to throw in the mix to push both.

Tough call! Meach and Arrington are injury prone. Henderson is most productive when we have a run game(play action). Hopefully, we will have healthy backs this year. I hope we KEEP Moore. I hope the FO makes the right choices.

Arrington hasn't done enough to be on the field, I think devery will be fine he had a down year. There's nobody else as explosive as Devery Out in Free Agency. Moss washed up, Ocho and T.O washed up, T. J Housh washed up, I would take a flyer on Mike Simms - Walker at a reasonable price

He's still only 29 and makes a very affordable 2.25 mil. We typically keep 5 maybe 6 receivers depending on whatever we're calling Roby. Henderson has a spot on this team... I don't see why he wouldn't. He had a down year, it happens... at the same time Brees had an off year throwing him the deep ball as well. He should have a bounce back season.

Devery gets great seperation, spreads the field and doesn't fumble. Our running game will no doubt bring his game up.

Arrington is a completely different type of receiver than Devery. Arrington is a possession guy like Colston. Meachum is supposed to be the speed guy homerun hitter like Devery. If anyone takes DH's place it will be Meach or a FA.

Devery will stay, we have a running game now. Saying that he will be open for the home runs again!
