Mora reminds me of David Simms (Don Johnson) in Tin Cup ...

Played the percentages; but didn't trust anybody, including players, to gamble and win...

Jim Mora was our best coach ever before SP showed up, if he had more support from the FO when he was here he would have gotten over that playoff hump and might have even won a super bowl. But I won't talk about "woulda, coulda, shoulda," I'm happy to see Sean Payton reaching out to him.

I'll always be mad at him for not firing Carl Smith and then when he went to the Colts, not taking Smith with him. Had we had any offense at all back when we had those great defenses, I think we could have been to a Super Bowl or two.

I liked Mora...Payton's polar opposite..and still do. Took conservativism to the nth degree. About as predictable as sunrise. Sent Morten Anderson straight to the Hall of Fame...3 pts. at a time. Only the current era is better than Mora's Saints legacy. Glad to see him hanging around, and in my mind, he is ALWAYS welcomed. He has a wealth of information from his experiences that he can contribute to help us stay successful.

the only reason we could'nt go further in the playoffs was CARL SMITH. but thanks to both coachs anyway for getting us there.
