this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm going to have to place my trust in the coaches with this. They are just a little bit more knowledgeable than me and know what the hell their doing....

I think we still need to bring someone in for depth, and as I said, I dont think this is the year to experiment with moving around your offensive line. Especially when that move involves one of the best guards in the league and a back up center going in out of position as a starter. You need at least an entire offseason to pull off a move like that.

I like it! Strief will be the new RT. He's not the greatest pass blocker, but he is a stud in the run!

Sorry for Stinchcomb because this is likely due to his injury....however we are still in fine shape.
I actually think the best alignment at this point might be to put Strief at left tackle and move Bushrod over to the right side. |

Im like you though, Im sure they have a plan. If they are bringing someone in, they already have a deal done. The FO has proven they know what they are doing with **** like this.

It's not that big a change really. Most right tackles are glorified guards anyway. Unless you play on a team with a left-handed quarterback your right tackle is usually just a big masher who's not a good enough pass blocker to play the left side.
