The New Orleans Saints were able to overcome a very agressive and mostly effective offense and defense of the Houston Texans to pull off their second win of the season by the final score of 40-33. The Saints only lost the first quarter by a score of 0-10 and were victorious in the remaining three quarters, 10-6 in the second, 7-3 in the third and finally 23-14 in the fourth to secure the win.

Drew Brees was less than stellar to start out in this contest, throwing not just one but two interceptions, the first one on a pass intended for WR Devery Henderson to CB Johnathan Joseph about midway through the second quarter and the other on one intended for TE Jimmy Graham to FS Danieal Manning two-thirds of the way through the third. He did, however, keep his composure enough to rally the troops and come away with an impressive comeback through the remainder of the third and fourth quarters to come away with the victory for the home crowd! On the day, Brees was 31/44 for 370 yards, 3 TD’s and 2 INT’s for a quaterback rating of 99.6 and a 70.5% completion percentage.
