Confession time: Who here wanted Culpepper?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I was working about 70 hours a week, (thats my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.) and actually missed out on a lot at that time, so I didnt know much about Drew, and didnt imagine he would be anything ...

I was working about 70 hours a week, (thats my excuse, and I'm sticking
to it.) and actually missed out on a lot at that time, so I didnt know much
about Drew, and didnt imagine he would be anything special, afterall we were getting him. I thought that probably he, and Payton were just cheap to get, or something.

I wanted Matt Leinart.

Sad, but true. Wow, was I wrong.

Didn't want him. But, I don't think he would have been awful under Payton.

I wanted Leinart at the time, I still thought even after signing Drew they were going to draft Leinart since Sean was/is a QB guru since Drew was such a high risk/reward when he signed .... I like my crow medium/well

I still have my Aaron Brooks jersey. Never wanted Culpepper. Lienhardt? Didn't really want him although I wouldn't have minded at the time.

No Culpepper was an unfinished book without an ending.

That is acceptable... If you dress it on a mannequin and beat it with a baseball bat every so often. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Your rep stands.

Carnally... It is still the only reasonable explanation I can think of that Hasbeen kept him for so long.

After Brooks, I wanted the Saints to eliminate the QB position all together, just to prevent any chance of a future occurence of the torment Brooks put us through the last 2 years or so.....

Joking aside, was in Brees' corner as soon as he went FA....as for the draft, i would have used the Bush hype to trade back and get Ngata....knew he was gunna go beast mode...........
