I haven't the slightest. But if Loomis and Payton start kicking rocks and see what under them I am sure we can find someone out there who is ready or even wants in the league. I do agree we need someone who is a teacher as well as a coach. |

I'll take the job Neugey.
#1 Start looking for guys that want to tackle. #2 Find some guys that can tackle. #3 Sign guys that will tackle. It's just gravy after that. |

I'm still amazed that guys at this level don't already know how to tackle.

Here is an observation I made... when we had Sharper you saw him constantly coming off the field or on the sidelines showing someone a move to knock a pass down to coverage to tackling. He was constantly showing the guys something to help improve or do it right the next time. You don't see that now on this team at all... |

Nope. Gruden just signed an extension and will be around on Monday night football for a while. I like his analysis.
Edit: And as far as firing GW I distinctly remember him coaching defense when we won the Superbowl..........the older DT's we signed just ain't getting it liked we hoped they would. It all starts right there. We get no push and are constantly gashed up the middle. This season isn't over yet. We had a short camp and no one on D is looking sharp yet.......In rugby we are at our best after several games when our conditioning is even better. |

Wow, it took long enough to bring his name up. I thought of Gruden when this thread first started. But I'm not ready to give up on Williams. We know he can coach defense, but he's gonna have to get his head out of his ass and start coaching. Get his defensive backs where they're supposed to be instead of running around the secondary like a bunch of lost high school kids.
