Looking at the schedule, we had better be 8-2 heading into the bye, or we might as well kiss the playoffs goodbye.
Indy - If we don't win, fire everyone Lambs - If we don't win, blow up the dome. (Theirs) O.B. - they lead the division, so we lose, we lose tiebreaks Clowns - See above. BYE Giants - They are always tough late in the season. Saw them beat our mirror (the Bills) Lions - Oh boy. Our linemen look like slabs of crispy bacon. Loss. Teetons - Can't overlook the QB that made our D look stupid. Minnesota - by this time Ponder will be needing a good dose of Saints' "lets make the rookie look like an All Pro" seasoning. Clowns at home - At this point, if we are 8-2 after the break, we're 10-4 and in a dogfight for a spot. GB, SF and Lions will have clinched. Giants look like a lock at this point. TB, Clowns, Eagles, Skins, Boys and Saints battling for it all. Panties - Classic "win and you're in" scenario. Even with a win against Clowns, no guarrantees. Could be second time 11-5 team misses playoffs. We have no room for error. |

It's still way to early to project 11 wins may not be enough. I do agree though, a loss at home against Colts is going to be more painful than Payton's knee for us fans.

naaa... the NFL doesnt work like that. One team can lose 48-3, and come back and beat another one thats been pulling rabbits out of hats the very next week. You might as well be looking at Power Rankings.
We dont know for certain who's really good till the end of the season. We could lose to the Colts AND Rams, then turn around and run the table. Our Offense can beat anybody and our Defense can lose to anybody. Might as well enjoy the ride. (and the heart attacks) (slap! slap!) Pull yourself together soldier! |

Tampa still has to come to NO, as well as Hou, Green Bay, Dallas and @Atl
Atlanta still has 2 against us, and @Det, @Hou, and Tampa I think we have an easier schedule remaining, especially with 6 at home and 4 on the road. Atlanta has 5 away, 5 at home Tampa has 6 away and only 4 at home. I like our chances, mediocre defense and all. |
