It also makes me wonder what sort of deal Miami would make us for Brooks? [Edited on 12/2/2004 by BrooksMustGo] |

QB news around the league
I don\'t have any idea why they would want to get rid of Ramsey either. That\'s nuts. I\'d trade Brooks for him. hehehe...

Whodat, you\'d trade Brooks for my grandpa! :P As for Ramsey...his days are likely numbered in Washington. The trip Gibbs made to FLA to visit with Brunell miffed him from what I hear...furthermore, I don\'t blame him...Ramsey I mean.

That kid is going to be very good Saintfan. Fans in DC are really going to get kicking themselves next year after letting Ramsey and Davis go. What\'s their starting backfield going to look like? Brunell and Trung Candidate? Now that\'s funny.
PS - what\'s your grandfather\'s completion percentage? Maybe we can work a deal. |

I agree that Ramsey has a future, but did I hear you right? Are you saying you think they should stick with the guy and let him develope? :P
GP\'s percentage is only about 54%, but he\'s still got a cannon and hits the old lady next door in her hoveround in stride every time! Honestly, she drops a lot of \'em. He throws off his back foot some (never could coach him out of that) but he\'ll come relatively cheap...and he\'s only lookin for a two year deal. |

Well, let\'s see, sounds like GP is a decent athlete but not real consistent. Hang on, let me consult my Jim Haslett school of Football Operations handbook.... uh huh... OK... sure... hhmmm... how does 6 years $40 million sound? Oh, and don\'t worry, we\'ll get rid of any backup with talent just to make sure GP stays on the field even if he ends up in a wheelchair. Deal?

I never said \"trained up\", but I did say cheap and consistent. Ramsey\'s numbers are already good especially considering how often that poor kid got hit. Put him behind our line and even you would be saying Aaron who?
But Ramsey isn\'t cheap anyway so this is a non-issue. Brunell, on the other hand, looks to be costly and old. That\'s a real bad combo. |

Brunell is not even an upgrade over Brooks. If he really was a top tier QB there is no way he sits on the bench all last season. Maybe it\'s been so long since we\'ve all seen him play that we can\'t remember, but the guy is \"pretty good\" at best.
