Patrick Robinson....
Is it just me or can anyone else call the play before it happens.... I had at least 2-3 moments of "vision" last night where before the snap, I looked at the wife and said "Robinson... burnt on this play".. Bingo! "Going to Robinson and they are going to get at least 15 yards"... Bingo! First down.
Besides the dreads, he reminds me of Mike McKenzie... Hot or cold... Great play or absolutely burnt. Mark this.... When we play Green Bay for the NFC Championship game Rodgers is going to wear us out on that side. |

I think we played adefense where we were trying to keep the plays in front of us and wait for mistakes by the Giants. Having said that what was up with his tackling?

I have no clue what is up with NFL tackling by Corners and safety's as a whole... That frikken spear attempt is not a tackle, and people keep getting hurt... Look at Troy Polamalu, he does the same thing and is hurt now because of it. It goes against any and every form tackle drill I have ever been through.

I think you got Robinson pegged just right. This is a weak spot for sure and he will and usually does get worked on badly. He does this when we are not preventing. Agreed the guy cannot tackle and looks out of place. Wo can step up in his place or how can he be replaced. I disagree with some of those calls on hits and if they are going to continue to make bad calls that should turn into a reviewable play. With the size and speed these guys are moving at it is almost impossible not to have your helment contact his body somewhere. Unless you spear someone directly in the back/chest ect. or blindside someone and hit him in the head with your helment the rest of these calls are BS to the max.

On most of them they D players are not leading with their helmet, when 500 lbs collides the helmet is going to make contact at some point... You have to be able to stiff arm someone to the ground to not make that sor tof contact... that would require hellacious arms and chest lol

All the corners played off their receivers by a good margin last night... even Greer. It wasn't just Robinson.

By playing "off their receiver"... I do not think you mean receiver 10 yards BEHIND Patrick.

Robinson and Porter both are weak at wrapping up. How many times have we seen the 5-6 pass in the flat go for 15-20 instead?
On run support both use the ole' bullfighter technique |

Porter??? WTF. He's the most solid CB we have. He blows up screens to his side and gets past blockers to make a tackle for a loss.
Robinson I give you but Porter is a stud when he is on an island out there. |

I personally think Greer is having an excellent season and might be the better of the two.
