It was not going to be a safety. After initially throwing the flag, the referee picked it up and moved it to just outside the 1 yard line which meant THAT was the point of the foul. The penalty would have been half the distance.

I think I understand you.
What your saying is that the hold occurred on the one yard line and the ref threw it in the wrong spot. He then picked up the flag and placed it where he saw the penalty occur and then they all decided that the ref was not seeing clearly. That's the best I've heard yet. Lol. |

The explanation was garbled but it was not a safety.

I still believe the Falcons have a shot, it just didn't look like it Monday night. |

I just have to ask.... Whats the average age of a Referee in the NFL? Cant be under 50. How is it only the NFL believes that hearing, vision, and reflexes get better with age?
Ok, I looked it up. In 2007 the average age was 51. Ed (hold-up swole-up) Hochuli is frikken 61! The refs are not out of control.... They are out of Centrum! |

But looking at the average age of 51, im not sure that's a problem really. They do see quite a bit out there. And they don't have eagle eyes when things are moving that fast and their view may be obstructed. Im not complaining about the missed calls, I'm strictly talking about straight up bad calls and potential fraud. |
